Jesus said suffer not the little children to come unto him. He said we must become like a child to enter the kingdom of heaven. What are children like? They trust their parents and have a faith in their parents. This I pray we will all have.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

Stress vs Peace

Have not been updating for a super long time. Had been busy with work, the BIG day etc etc. Haaz..

Anyway, today I woke up to the news of death of Michael Jackson. He died of cardiac arrest.

Just recently few weeks to a month back, I also got to know about the death of someone who also passed away due to cardiac arrest. That someone I know of was previously of good health as he had went for his medical checkup and certified in good shape. But why had all these people passed on when previously being in good health? I believe stress is the main cause of such sickness like cardiac arrest aka heart attack, cancer etc.

For myself, whenever I am worried, I will put my hand over my heart to calm myself down. Cares, worries, fears, all these affects the heart. I do not have medical reports to prove it but I do believe all these affects the well-being of our heart. I remember a time when I was getting ready to run in my school's heats (the preliminary rounds for determining who gets to run on the actual day) and I was so fearful that my palms began to sweat, my heartbeat was very fast and all these resulted in my legs getting cramps and I could not run at all. Fortunately, the heats was called off due to rain.

I remembered Pastor Prince had preached about the last words of Jesus before He went to the cross. God's word is really full of wisdom, words spoken by Jesus two thousand years ago can be applied in our times, which to me is really amazing. God has already seen what is to come and had given to us His promise so that we can live by it to live life, love life.

When someone is on his/her deathbed, anything he/she says or gives is the most precious. Do you know what was the gift Jesus gave before He went to the cross?

The Gift of His Peace

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. --John 14:27

Jesus gave us His peace, not the worldly peace which we can experience through spa, relaxation etc. Jesus already saw that in our times, there will be many fears which have come true now. The financial crisis, worldwide spread of the H1N1 flu etc have caused fear around the world. Only His peace can allow us not to fear at all.

A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you. --Psalm 91:7

I often chat with my dear and we are really glad that we are people in the world but not of the world. We are not fearful of bad happenings around us, neither are we worried of any bad things to come. Even when we make mistakes, errors caused by us, we know that His promise to us will never fail.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. --Romans 8:28

God’s Everlasting Love

... If God is for us, who can be against us? -- Romans 8:31

Thank you Father for all the promises You have given to us. The more I read, the more treasures I find in Your Word. For Your Word is the everlasting truth, the promises given to show Your great love for us.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. -- 1 Corinthians 13:13
