Jesus said suffer not the little children to come unto him. He said we must become like a child to enter the kingdom of heaven. What are children like? They trust their parents and have a faith in their parents. This I pray we will all have.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

I'm always remembered..

When I was very young, around Primary One, I accepted Christ without knowing anything at all. I only started to go church when I was Primary Two and not because I want to know more about Jesus but because I saw a friend of mine who brought a small tiny bible with gold metal cover and that attracted me to go church thinking of getting that cute bible.

I remembered attending church every Sunday, first thing to do is to attend the main service. Singing old hymns and listening to the pastor preach is performed during the main service and being a very young girl, I totally do not understand what the pastor is talking about.

After the main service, all the children will head to the classrooms for the Sunday bible class. We are told of stories about Moses, Noah and his ark etc, stories from the old Testament.

I never knew about Jesus. I never knew that He was a Jew. I never knew He died. I never knew He loved little children.

After a year, I left church. Going to church alone as a young child without understanding anything and no one to accompany me caused me to stop going to church.

Though I stopped going to church, every night, I always prayed. Praying became a ritual for me and if I did not pray, I feel uneasy. I prayed for the safety of my family, blessings for everyone I knew of and when exam comes, I pray that I pass all my exams with flying colours.

God never forgot me. I started to realise that amazing things happen for my examinations.

I am quite a lazy person, only start studying on the night before the exams. For many times before my composition/essay exams (mandarin or english) the next morning, I would just pick an essay book to start reading. And, the topic which I read would often come out in the paper the next day!

I remembered in particular once I was having my chinese composition examination. I was unable to write anything for the topic I chose. I kept pondering whether to change to another topic or stay on. I could not write a single word out.

In the end, I asked to go to the toilet due to tummyache and sat on the toilet bowl staring into blank space. (Throughout all my years of study up to University, this was the only time I went to the toilet. I don't go toilet at all during exams. No time to write the answers already, how to have time go toilet?)After sitting on the toilet bowl for quite long, I went back to my seat and just anyhow wrote some things. Whatever came to my mind, I just wrote.

Miraculously, something great happened when I got my results. My teacher was astonished at my results. I was top in class for my chinese composition, getting 45 out of 50. And not only that, my paper was marked by a China teacher who thinks that my composition is excellent! I didn't think that it was because of sitting on the toilet bowl which let me get top in class, it was really the grace of God. Even then, I still didn't know Him but He remembered me all the while ever since I accepted him when I was very young.

For my A levels, I also got an A2 for chinese by God's grace. The night before the chinese composition, I just randomly picked an essay to read and the topic came out exactly the same as this randomly-picked essay's topic! And not only that, when I read the essay, I did not make any effort to memorise anything from the essay and yet, I remembered nearly word by word from the essay and produced it out in the exam!

Though so many great things had happened, I only started to know about Jesus when I was in JC2. But I am really glad that even I did not know Him at all and what He had done for me, He chose to remember me and was all the while with me.

Once you accepted Him, no matter what, He will always be there. He does not need you to know everything about Him but He knows everything about you. You are always on His mind even if He is not always on your mind. You are always remembered. ALWAYS!
