Jesus loves you you know?

Just last night, I, my mom, my brother and bi went to my Grandma's place for a birthday bbq for my 10 year old cousin. We chat with my relatives and up to now, only my mom's young brother and my cousin's dad are yet to be saved. My cousin's dad is a devout Buddhist and he began debating with us about Christianity and Buddhism. He said that why can't our God accept everyone just like Buddha who accepts everyone? He was too worked up so I did not say anything to him. But just this morning, I had this revelation.

Why must we accept Jesus before God accepts us?

First of all, all of us are sinners. You may say that you are not a sinner because you did not murder or commit adultery. But do you know that hating someone or lust are also the same as murder and adultery respectively? No one can have total control over his or her mind. Can you ever say that you have never done anything wrong? Have you lied? Have you worried before? All of us are sinners. That is why Jesus came to die for all our sins and also redeem us from the comdemnation of sins.

God must be righteous. He also has to do things by law. Can you imagine a judge "closing one eye" and letting a murderer go just because he knows that murderer? All sins must be punished and God (of course) knows that too. That is why He sent Jesus to replace us to die for our sins so that now since all our sins have been punished, we can now appear before God and God can treat us as His children.

You may say that if Jesus paid for all our sins, then people may go out there and sin more. But since you know that what you do is wrong and you still go and do it, I would say that this is plain stupidity.

I would like to end this entry with another revelation. Last friday, Bi drove me and my uncle to suntec for bible study. My uncle is my mom's elder brother and he suffered from stroke a few months ago and now has some difficulty in walking. As we reached suntec early, I had intend to stay in the car and follow Bi to park the car so I prayed silently to God that we can get a parking lot just beside the carrefour escalator so that my uncle need not walk too far. I even visualised the exact parking lot that I wanted. But Bi dropped us down at a nearby bus stop and he went to park the car.

After Bi parked the car, he told me that because of the Comex exhibition at suntec, there were alot of cars and he still managed to get a parking lot near the escalator! I was surprised and told him what I had prayed. After the bible study, I was so excited when I saw that the car had parked at the exact parking lot that I had visualised! Praise God! I soon realised that actually when one prays for what he or she wants, do not doubt at all because it has already been done and visualise that it is done, it will surely come true! I so excited about my bright future! God is so good! Thank you Jesus!
