The checkup

I went to Gleneagles with my Aunt today. She is 34 weeks pregnant now and soon I will have a baby cousin! Anyway, I accompanied my Aunt to her checkup so that I can meet the doctor who delivered me when I was born! Have never really known how she looks like and was curious to find out.

Well, had I not gone to the checkup with my Aunt, I would never have heard the baby's heartbeat that loud! The doctor placed some equipment over my Aunt's tummy and the heartbeat was beating fast and loud, with some water rushing sound. Had a biology lesson today. Did you know that during the early stages of pregnancy, the baby's heart beats very fast? The heartbeat gradually becomes slower towards the delivery date.

I did not expect the doctor to look so gentle and petite. I knew she was quite old but she still looked young. She spoke very steadily and gently. Of course she could not recognise me now. I do look a lot different compared to 20 over years ago when I was just born. Suddenly had a thought. Would love to have her deliver my baby in the near future! Haha! I and Bi would love to have a baby girl! Heard that have to eat more vegetables to have a girl. And I don't really love greens. Ha!
